Prayer for children to put on the full armor of God

Dear Lord,

I intercede for my child(ren). Lord I pray that [they, s/he] put on the full armor of God. I pray according to Ephesians 10-18 which says "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore may [name child(ren)] put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, [they, s/he] may be able to stand [their, his or her] ground, and after [they, s/he] have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around [their, his or her] waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with [their, his or her] feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which [they, s/he] can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."

Lord, I pray You teach [name child(ren)] how to do this. May [they, s/he] desire to fight for You every day. May Your will to be done in [their, his or her] life, no matter what the cost. Make [them, him or her] wholly thine.

In Jesus' precious name I pray, Amen.

Prayer to put on the full armor of God

Dear Lord,

I want to put on the full armor of God. 13 Therefore [I want to] put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, [I] may be able to stand [my] ground, and after [I] have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around [my] waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with [my] feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which [I] can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."

Lord, I pray You teach me how to do this. I want to be ready to fight for You every day. I want to fight for my marriage and for my kids. I want to be a prayer warrior. I want to read Your Word. I want to break the bonds of inheritance. I want Your will to be done in my life, no matter what the cost. Take me, break me, own me, make me wholly thine.

In Jesus' precious name I pray, Amen

Prayer for my children to feel loved and accepted and for us to show them love

Dear Lord,

I pray for [name child(ren)] to feel loved and accepted. Penetrate their hearts with Your love right now and help them to fully understand how far-reaching and complete it is. In John 3:16 it says that You sent Your only son to die fro us and in this way You loved the world so much. Deliver [name child(ren)] from any lies of the enemy that may have been planted in their hearts or minds to cause them to doubt that. Jesus said in John 15:9-10 "As the Father loved me, I have also loved you; abide in my love." Lord, help [name child(ren)] to abide in Your love. May they say as David did, "Cause me to hear Your loving kindness in the morning, for in You do I trust" (Psalm 143:8). Manifest Your love to these children in a real way today.

I pray also that You would help me to love my precious [name child(ren)] unconditionally the way You do, and enable me to show it in a manner they can perceive. Reveal to me how I can demonstrate and model Your love to them, so that it will be clearly understood. I pray that all my family members will love and accept [name child(ren)], and may they find favor with other people as well. With each day that they grow in the confidence of being loved and accepted, release in them the capacity to easily communicate love to others. Enable them to reach out in love in a way that is appropriate. As they come to fully understand the depth of Your love for them and receive it into their souls, make them vessels through which Your love flows to others.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Prayer to align with God's will before acting on my own

Dear Lord,

I thank You for giving me this desire to [name the desire or action]. But Lord, I want Your will to be done in my life and in this situation. Lord You take this idea and either allow it to happen or keep me from doing it. Lord I give this to You. Lord, if it is Your will for this to be done, may it bear fruit in Your family, the body, and even be a witness for unbelievers. To You be the glory for ever and ever. I love You, Lord.

I pray this in Your precious name, Amen.

Prayer for protection from harm

Dear Lord,

I lift up [name child(ren)] to You and ask that You would put a hedge of protection around them. Protect each of their spirits, bodies, mind, and emotions from any kinds of evil or harm. I pray specifically for protection from accidents, disease, injury, or any other physical, mental, sexual or emotional abuse. I pray that they will make their refuge "in the shadow of Your wings" until "these calamities have passed by" (Psalm 57:1). Hide them from any kind of evil influences that would come against them. Keep [name child(ren)] safe from any hidden dangers and let no weapon from against them prosper. Thank You, Lord, for Your many promises of protection. Help them to walk in Your ways and in obedience to Your will so that they never come out from under the umbrella of that protection. Keep them safe in all they do wherever they go. And Lord, I quote Psalm 4:8 to intercede for them that they lie down and sleep in peace for You alone, O Lord, make them dwell in safety. Even protect their dreams, Lord.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
