Lord,
You know our inadequacies. You know our weaknesses, not only in parenting, but in every area of our lives. We are doing the best we can and we know it is not good enough. As You broke the fishes and the loaves, now take our meager efforts and use them to bless our family. Make up for the things we do wrong. Satisfy the needs that we have not satisfied. Wrap Your great arms around our children, and draw them close to You. And be there when they stand at the great crossroads between right and wrong. We humbly submit to You our children and ourselves and the job we are dong as parents.

"Pray for more Christ" is the gentle instruction God gives me when I cry out to Him. I journeyed into a consistent prayer life at the age of 30. While reading a book by Elizabeth George, I was urged to begin a simple prayer journal. Sure enough my prayers were faithfully answered. Three years later, God called me to be a prayer warrior.
